My Journey
Before becoming a therapist, I began my career as a clothing designer in Philadelphia. After nearly 5 years as a designer, I decided to leave the industry to pursue a career that would allow me to give back to my community. Upon earning my Master’s of Education from Temple University, I started my practice and have been loving my job ever since.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy live music, repurposing my thrifted finds, gardening, and being silly with my toddler.
My approach
As your therapist, my goal is to help you uncover a deeper understanding of yourself and make changes to improve your overall mood, quality of relationships, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. My approach to therapy is to answer three questions: What is happening? Why is it happening? Is there anything we can do to make it stop happening? I aim to create a space where people can both vent about their struggles and leave my office feeling more equipped to deal with them.
My relationship with my clients is a priority for me and something I give extra attention to. I relate to people through humor and feel it’s important for them to see me as a human, not just a therapist.
Specialties
I offer evidence-based treatment in the areas of complex trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, and relationship concerns. However, my work is not limited to these areas of concern. My goal as a therapist is to empower you to better understand your own thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and desires and challenge you to reach the goals that you set for yourself. I serve as a guide, a coach, and a teacher, utilizing several approaches to best fit your needs as you facilitate growth and power within yourself. Providing you with a safe space
My practice is trauma informed and accepting of all identities. I am present at each session with a judgement free perspective and a willingness to listen to and understand your experience.
In-person and remote options
My office space is located in East Falls, just a short walk from Kelly Drive. Can’t make it into the office? No worries – teletherapy is always an option.
